Fog Box Care and Use
🔥 Fog Box Lighters
Fuel Up:
Always use high-quality butane fuel—available online or at most cigar shops. Using the wrong fuel can clog or damage your lighter.
Flame Adjustment:
To control flame height, use a small flathead screwdriver to gently turn the adjustment dial on the bottom of your lighter. Clockwise = smaller flame. Counterclockwise = larger flame.
Pro Tip: Let your lighter rest for a minute after filling before igniting to allow gas to settle and avoid sputtering.
📦 Fog Box Humidors
Humidity Control:
Your Fog Box comes with a premium humidity device. For best results, use distilled water or a 50/50 propylene glycol solution—never tap water, as it can introduce impurities and mold.
On-the-Go Tip: On hot days or extended outings, consider using humidity packs (e.g., Boveda) for consistent moisture regulation.
Storage Matters:
Keep your humidor in a cool, shaded place. Cigars prefer to live at 70°F and 70% humidity for optimal flavor and longevity.
🧼 Cleaning & Maintenance
Keep It Fresh:
Wipe your humidor’s interior and exterior with a soft damp cloth. For stubborn spots, add a drop of mild dish soap—then wipe clean and let air dry.
✈️ Pressure Note: Flying with Your Fog Box?
Because your Fog Box is airtight and watertight, pressure can build up during air travel. Here’s how to release it:
-
Medium & Large Boxes: Turn the built-in pressure valve counterclockwise to safely release trapped air.
-
Small Boxes: No valve? No problem. Just gently pry the latch open using a coin or flathead screwdriver.
